With a tall shackle and a palette of colors to pick from, these locks are easy to spot around large hasps or thick chains. Assign a color to individuals or departments and use them with lockout devices to prevent people from using equipment during maintenance or repair. This helps you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 safety procedures.All have a pin-tumbler key locking mechanism, which is the most difficult locking mechanism to pick. The more pins a lock has, the harder it is to pick. Each opens with a different key, and all have random key numbers.Style B locks have an aluminum body that resists corrosion better than locks with a steel body, but it’s not as strong. A plated shackle also makes them more reliable in harsh environments.Locks with a chrome-plated boron alloy shackle also resist corrosion and have the toughest and most cut-resistant shackle material.
